Meet the Foundation
Dave Palmer

Founder, Director

Dave Palmer is a native of Grand Haven, Michigan. He has been married to his wonderful wife, Nancy for 29 years. They have two children, Alicia “Rae”, 28, married to husband, Earl and son, David 21. They have one grandson, Avery J, 3. They all attended Grand Haven Public Schools.
Dave loves the Tri-Cities area because it a community full of givers that are concerned about the welfare of each other and have the desire to make it a better place. This is a good place to raise a family.
“I love all the benefits that come with music. The more people that are involved in music, the better I feel. The people I meet through this Foundation have good hearts and want to do good for others. We are making the world a better place, together.”
“I plan on reaching our goal of $1, 000,000 in the endowment, built by the community. Once that is accomplished, we can do just about anything.”
“Don’t let fear of failure rule your life or stop you from accomplishing your dreams and becoming all that you desire.” |

Alicia Jorgensen

Associate Director
Alicia, often referred to as Rae, was born in Grand Haven Michigan. Her husband, Earl and Rae have an energetic and creative little boy named Avery J, 3 years of age. They both are graduates of Grand Haven High School and are members of the Grand Haven Area Jaycees. Alicia has a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education from Western Michigan University. She is the daughter of Spread the Music Foundation founders, Dave and Nancy Palmer.
As Associate Director of Spread the Music Foundation, Alicia runs the day to day operations and organization of the Foundation. She was hired at the end of 2006 because of the rapid growth of Spread the Music Foundation and its success. If you ever call the office, she will be the voice on the other end.
Alicia and her family love the Tri-Cities area because of its unique character and family like qualities. You know your neighbors and can look out for their best interest. There are many gifts that come with a close knit community; security, friendship, and commitment.
“Spread the Music Foundation Inc. is a way for me to connect with giving. I can dedicate my time and efforts towards something that I know I am making a difference in lives on a daily basis. This is what drives me to work harder, knowing that I may be changing an individual for the better. These opportunities are priceless.”
“I have dedicated myself to this mission of enlightening our community through music in the best way I can. I love the fact that my dad can be creative and impact the community like he has through his ideas. I support the Foundation and all the wonderful intentions and acts behind it. I believe that this idea is not only sending the message of the importance of music , but that doing good for others and spending time together is essential to the best experiences of life.” |

Brian Gross

Brian was born in Topeka, Kansas. He now lives in Grand Haven with his lovely wife, Melissa and two children, Brendon and Mackenzie. His family recently moved to Grand Haven from downtown Chicago because they wanted to live in a communtiy with strong family values. "We wanted to be connected and involved, " says Brian.
"Spread the Music Foundation Inc. deeply affects the community we live in. I passionailty believe that our hard work and persistence will make a positive difference in the lives of many!"
Brian's personal goal for Spread the Music Foundation Inc is to grow it's funds in our endowment to a level in which it will sustain each beneficial program for years and years to come.

Doc Hamilton

Lemmen-Grand
Doc was born in Marshall, Michigan. He and his wife, Pat, live in Forest Park. Pat is also active with Spread the Music Foundation. She designs the Music House every year through her company, Bayside Design. Doc works for Lemmen-Grand of Coopersville, Michigan. They both have been huge supporters of the Foundation for many years.
Both Doc and Pat enjoy all the activities that Grand Haven puts on including the benefits of the local bike path. But they say it’s the people that make it a special place to live.
“I believe you should give back to the community where you live, and we at Spread the Music Foundation have the opportunity and the support group that gets it done no matter what. I want to see us achieve our goal of $1,000,000 in our Foundation, and then branch out to help other communities do the same.”

Debbie Reynolds

ReMax of Grand Haven
Debbie was born in Stephenville, New Foundland on an America Air Force Base. Debbie’s father served in the Air Force. Debbie has been married to Chris for 19 years. They have a daughter, Kristin, 15. Michele, Debbie’s daughter, works with her side by side at ReMax. Michele and her husband, Jorge, have two daughters Aleecia, 5, and Brieanna, 4. Debbie is a successful realtor in the West Michigan area. She enjoys her job and loves being a grandma.
Debbie says that she lives in the Tri-Cities area because she just loves everything about it.
“I love kids and music. I think supporting this cause is valuable to everyone.”

Kristi Walsh

Grand Haven Charter Township
Kristi was born in Lake Odessa, Michigan. Her family moved to Grand Haven when she was in high school. She is happily married to her husband Mark and has two wonderful furry family members; dog, Tundra, and cat, Tuka. Kristi is an avid and active volunteer in the community.
" I became involved with Spread the Music Foundation Inc. because I enjoy volunteering for projects that benefit this community--especially children. I stayed involved with Spread the Music Foundation Inc. because I became aware of how important their purpose is. I was fortunate to have music as a part of my life from an early age and I want to make sure that others have the same opportunity."
" I have always been involved in community service because the people within the community are what make it great. The more we do as individuals, the greater our community is. Just look around . . .we're doing it right . . .together!"
